Yes. Foreigners can get a KT SIM card in Korea without a Korean ID. With your passport alone you can activate a KT prepaid SIM the same day — no ARC, no Korean bank account, no Korean guarantor. Once your Alien Registration Card is issued you can move the same number to a postpaid plan. Our Itaewon Global Store handles the whole process in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Burmese, or Korean. Yes, on a postpaid plan. A KT eSIM is activated by QR code, so there is no physical card to collect and the fee is ₩2,750 instead of ₩7,700. Your phone must be eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked, and you need your ARC plus a Korean payment method — the same requirements as any postpaid line. Prepaid lines are physical USIM only, so if you have just arrived without an ARC, start with a prepaid SIM and switch to an eSIM later while keeping your number. Bring your phone to our Itaewon Global Store and we will check eSIM support for you. See Postpaid plans.
Yes — a prepaid plan. A KT prepaid line needs only your passport, so you can walk out with a working Korean 010 number on your first day, before Immigration issues your ARC. Postpaid (monthly billing) is the part that requires an ARC and a Korean bank account or card. Because we register the prepaid line in your own name, you keep the same number when you convert it to postpaid later — an airport rental SIM cannot be converted. See Prepaid SIM plans.
